Keeping it bottled up for 2025

Keeping it bottled up for 2025

Terrariums! They’ve always popped up on my socials and my sister gifted me a simple little corked bottle a couple of years ago (which is still going strong btw) and it, well, sparked a new hobby. I have been collecting bottles of all sorts from consumed spirits to candle holders and then sourcing funky glass containers from the thrift stores on the cheap. I then tried throwing in some soil base and leafy greens and viola… failure. I then tried a simple little kit that I got cheap off of Amazon, used the ingredients and followed the directions and surprise… failure, again. So I realized it is more than just throwing plants in a sealed container hoping for the best so I dug in deep. Googling galore, articles sought and read, and of course YouTube and it’s countless tutorials. Bought the right ingredients, made the right mixes, found the right plants, and even ordered some springtails (more on that later).

So I tried again and this time… success!

I planted three different types of containers and they’ve been going strong for over a month now and I coulnd’t be happier!

Although the focus on creativity seems it should be via some sort of media like acrylic, pencil, or some type of craft, I think this whole terrarium venture is creative… it is creating a whole other universe, in a bottle, to perservere. Creations to follow! Peace and hope, Kelly

finding creativity

Sometimes we get stuck. Stuck in life, stuck in love, stuck in jobs, just stuck. Lokel Arts has been stuck when it comes to finding time for creativity. 2025 is upon us and so it is, we shall create! This site has been dormant for almost it’s entire existence. Not anymore! Lo and I will be working on some cool stuff, exploring old and new ideas and of course, selling some of it. If you stop by and like our stuff, let us know! Also if you are needing design work, like a website or logo, I have you covered. Cheers to the new year everyone, hopefully this journey will take us places and we encourage you to find the time and space to be creative too! Peace and love, Kelly
